Cat Hat Knitting Pattern

I'm not a big fan of cats.... But here is a hat for those of you that are.... This is a teen-adult size.



Cat hat

Cast on 70 stitches in white on 7mm needles.
Stst 4 rows
Rib 2 rows

Knit 20 rows

K3, k2 together over the whole row
Purl
K2, k2 together over the whole row
Purl
K1, k2 together over the whole row
Purl
K2 together over the whole row
Purl
K2 together over the whole row
Purl

Cut yarn, leaving 30cm, thread all stitches onto the yarn, pull to tighten

Outer ear - make 2 in white- 7mm in white

Cast on one.
K1 front, yarn round needle, k1 back (abbreviated from now as (kf,yo,kb)

K1, (kf,yo,kb), k1

K2, (kf,yo,kb), k2
Knit
K3, (kf,yo,kb), k3
Knit
Cast off

Inner ear - make 2 - 4mm in black

Cast on one
K1 front, yarn round needle, k1 back (abbreviated from now as (kf,yo,kb)

K2, (kf,yo,kb), k2

K3, (kf,yo,kb), k3
Purl
K4, (kf,yo,kb), k4

Cast off

Nose - make one in black - 4mm needles
Cast on one
K1 front, yarn round needle, k1 back (abbreviated from now as (kf,yo,kb)

Purl
Cast off

Sew up side of hat.
Attach the inner to the outer ears. Attach to hat.
Sew on nose triangle.
Add whiskers and eyes.
